Tech27 exhibits in UK on March 9,2016

We are excited to announce that we are exhibiting at the ITF Technology Showcase, in Aberdeen on Wednesday 9th March 2016. We welcome you to come along and visit us on stand number 40, where we can showcase our exciting range of innovative technologies.

The ITF Technology Showcase is a collaborative, innovation and technology focused exhibition and conference. The 2016 showcase will focus on "Technology's Role in Transforming Costs and Increasing Efficiency Now". Experience our wide range of products and services using latest technologies.

We predicted the current low oil prices and have been developing solutions that could transform your expensive operations to a low cost, agile and effective one using the very latest in the following technologies.
Wireless Networks and Remote Monitoring : Using our ReadMax wireless sensor tags we can monitor vital information such as location, temperature, flow rates, energy usage etc. remotely, minimising offshore visits. Virtual Reality, Robotics and Remote Engagement : We have adopted the very latest technologies in Virtual and Augmented Realities to provide users with realistic remote presence and engagements. In addition, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with auto navigation systems can be used for inspecting confined spaces. Deck & Logistics Management : How do you manage and optimise the most expensive real estate in the world, your deck space offshore? We have developed a system that helps you decrease supply boat usage, monitor cargo, automatically create deck layouts and lift plans, and maintain COG by checking container loads against allowable deck loads etc. The system is fully customisable and can be integrated with your existing ERP packages. We look forward to meeting with you and introducing our exciting range of products, aimed at giving you the upper hand.

3D LASER SCAN OF ANCIENT TEMPLE - A CASE STUDY

Heritage is our pride. Preserving cultural heritage sites have been a great challenge across the globe. Laser scanning technology is the best and efficient approach to survey historical monuments. Tech27 Systems was tasked with the 3D documentation of a 2000 year old temple, which is one of the 108 great Siva temples in the world. The temple is housed in a compound wall with an extent of 3¼ acres of land in a square shape, with a 50 feet high flag mast, rounded walls with murals and sculptures. Due to its historic importance and age, the structure was fragile, intricate and required a very careful surveying approach. Due to long term exposure to the environment, the murals and artwork had developed hairline cracks and high moisture content. No direct contact was allowed, but the surveying output required millimeter accuracy.
Tech27 provided a turnkey solution that included laser survey, data processing, 3D modelling and 2D detail drawings as per the client’s requirement. A long range laser Scanner with a range of up to 120 meters and a 360° x 305° field of view was used. A scanning rate of 976,000 points per second and accuracy up to +/-2mm was achieved. The shape, position and spatial locations of objects are recorded by millions of points, each with a latitude, longitude and elevation coordinate. After a few days, 36 colour scans were obtained to produce a detailed, 3D data set of the entire temple. Inaccessible and dark areas posed no complications, due to the scanners self-illuminating infrared laser and remote flash control. The scanner’s compact design allowed them to work among the pillars of the temple, and the tripod ensured setup times were quick and easy. Once the scans had been aligned and cleaned, multiple software programs were used to create interactive models. Every level of detail is now viewable, from different sculpture works and even inscriptions on the inner roof pillars 360°
  • Produced detailed 3D models and walkthroughs of the monument.
  • Inaccessible areas with poor lighting were surveyed and documented.
  • Sculptures, murals, and intricate structures were scanned to a high accuracy.
  • Structural deformations were highlighted.
  • Large datasets were optimised and made easily accessible.
  • 2D drawings of elevations, plans and sections were created.
  • Availability of as-build data decreased the number of site visits and costs.
  • Improved conservation and intervention activities.

Underground Utility Mapping using GPR

Just as in a modern city, there are confusions occurring below the ground too. Power, telephone, fiber optic cables, water, waste water drains and sewer pipes makes the things a little clumsy beneath the earth. Installation of new utilities makes the issue even more complicating. Excavating and encountering buried utilities may lead to costly delays and financial or other penalties. This may also lead to disruption of services, which causes the risk of injury and loss of life to workers. Taking the necessary precautions is the only way to avoid such accidents at work sites. Before starting excavation, detection of buried utilities holds much importance in this aspect.
Contractors need to put an effort to locate the buried utilities before commencing their work because it affects the planned excavation and construction activities later. Utility tracking services like Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) services prove helpful for contractors, especially in oil and gas sectors. The maps available with them could be incomplete, inaccurate, or sometimes the utilities may have been added, removed or relocated without notice. So, it is advisable for excavating contractors to engage themselves in services of well qualified, experienced and equipped utility surveyors and utility mapping services. It is possible to locate the buried utilities of metallic and non-metallic pipes and cables using modern methods and technologies like electromagnetic detectors, radio detection and ground penetrating radar systems (GPRS).A combination of traditional survey techniques, GPS and geographical information systems (GIS) software can be used to map these utilities effectively. Tech27 is a leading service provider in underground utility mapping. Our comprehensive underground utility surveys combine the techniques of Radio Frequency Location and Ground Penetrating Radar to detect and map all metal pipes, plastic pipes, foul and surface drainage systems, electricity cables, telecoms and fibre optic cables. Final survey results are presented in the form of a CAD drawing with all underground information accurately recorded on to a topographical survey plan. Intelligent Solution for Power Monitoring

It is a wellknown fact that people around the world complain about the huge electricity bills they incur, often left wondering as to why it is so high and start blaming the equipment used. Finding the power consumption for each piece of electrical equipment by switching off others and observing meter movement is time consuming and may not give accurate results.
We offer a promising solution, ‘MONATA‘- A Smart Billing System to analyse and monitor the power consumption of each equipment on a daily, weekly or monthly basis at your fingertips. This real time system can be effectively used in any building to track power with low complexity. Besides actual readings, a look ahead graph and comparison graph can also be generated to give you a greater understanding of your usage, bringing the power back to you.
